Friday Fabulousness~

I was having a bit of trouble with Fabulousness this week. It’s not that I was depressed or bummed out or anything…in fact everything is going really well! I’ve just had a case of the blahs.

{the Boss in his King Max pj’s and a Colonial hat. Cause that’s how he rolls}

But then I realized that just today I had a shopping date with my friend K and her little daughter E. The Boss loves him some E! While we were shopping The Boss picked out his Halloween Costume, which for real might kill me with cute! I figure this might be the last year that I can get away with uber cutsey costumes before he wants to be batman or buzz lightyear.

But for one more year he will be my squishy widdle baby.  I always dream of grand costumes and making them myself  but so far I’ve always found myself at Old Navy squeeling at the cute and bribing the Boss with fruit snacks to try them on. He did not need to be bribed this year, oh no, he took one look at the wall of costumes and declared his preference and then danced around in it for about a half an hour. When Ma got home tonight he put on for her and allowed himself to be ooohed and aaaahed over once again.

He is so generous like that.

Plus? When I went to pay for the costume it was on sale for ten bucks.

So, playdate with lovely friends and one more halloween of cute baby costume for the Boss…that is the Fabulous.

And so with that I leave my case of the blahs behind and notice that I’ve been smiling while writing this just remembering him dancing around in his costume. It’s one of those memories I want to burn in my brain forever and never forget….it was perfect. He is perfect!

I plan on taking a billion pictures of him.

  1. Hmmm, I think that I have to say that one of the most fabulousness things that happened to me was laughing at my husbands expense! I love him dearly the #1 reason for that is he can make me laugh! He is a die hard Tennessee Titans fan (we lived in Nashville for a while) and he has a total MAN CRUSH on Chris Johnson…if you know anything about football, you will know who he is…well, I was taking him to work one morning this week because we have the dreaded responsibility of sharing the car, and he starting taking about his MAN CRUSH and the “totally tubular” game they had on Sunday, then out of know where he told me that he was MAN-TASTIC…..really dear?? MAN-TASTIC?….wow, how can you compete with a NFL football player in those pants? I guess I am lucky that he isn’t looking at the cheerleaders…hmmmm….I love him…and when my case of the “mean reds” kicks in I just think of him and him saying things like MAN-TASTIC.

    Gotta love the Fabulousness of this life!!!

  2. I liked this post because in the midst of something bleh, you found something that was totally awesome and made you happy…and still does. That rocks! I hang onto moments like that tooth and nail!
    My mother in law bought my son his costume. I was a bit cheesed off about it since we go all out on Halloween. Last year my son was the most cutest little lion ever and my husband and I? We were Sigfreid and Roy post Lion attack. It was hilarious. This year we wanted him to be an Oompa Loompa and my husband was going to be Willy Wonka and I was going to be the girl who turns into a blueberry.
    Now, my son is a dinosaur and he’s terrified of the costume oh and AND the scales on the dinosaur are PINK and PURPLE. Since my mother in law asked me, I couldn’t say no and my husband didn’t have the gonads to turn down his mommy dearest. Sigh…
    Anyhoodles, sorry for the novel!
